Yes or no? What kinds, if any? Depends on who is there? Obviously I mean for adults.
Me, nope! I prefer to just shmooze.

It depends on who the company is. If I haven't seen/talked to these people in a long time, no, I prefer schmoozing with them. If it's people that I see on a weekly/monthly basis, I enjoy a well planned game that doesn't hurt anyone's feelings.

I can't stand party games. I'm anyway not much of a party person, but if I go, I prefer to talk to people or just watch what's going on.

I don't love playing games at parties but my in laws party would be very boring without a game.
By my parents party we never need a game to make it exciting. Even when we do start a game, we end up shmoozing and never finishing.

I voted yes but it really depends on so much.
The company, the vibe, the game, etc.
Sometimes I’ll have a game but we don’t play it because conversation is great.
Other times conversation gets going from the game.
Other times the game is the only fun part.

I love parties that have games that get people to communicate , share and laugh together.

Depends.
How well does everyone know each other (and how well do I know the people)?
What kind of a game?
Games can either make for a more inclusive, involved event, or can make people feel more left out.

As everyone said, it depends. As a rule, no, especially if part of the company is highly competitive. That gets ugly fast. Yes if it’s a small group and everyone can participate. No if only a few take part and the rest can only watch. Yes if it’s something that moves fast and is over quickly. No if it can last all night. Yes if it’s funny, no if it’s serious or if people take it seriously. Yes if I like the company. No if I don’t.

I’ve never been to a party as an adult where there’s a game. I’m 40 so I’ve been to my share of parties. I don’t tend to like to be told what to do or tell others what to do so no party games are not my thing. Parties should be loose and fun.

Recently was at a birthday party and we played family feud. 7 people per team - all adults.
It was super fun.

Definitely no. Even the most innocent game can have a person being hurt for some reason. I wouldn’t take a chance for even a second of someone’s feelings being hurt.
And you never what it is that can do it.
