Hi, this is the first year we have services through Human Care and have been invited to their parent shabbos.
I would like to hear feedback from those of you who have been to their shabbos before.
Whats the crowd like?
How many people?
Whats the food/catering?
Entertainment/speakers?
Do they push you to go to all the events or can you relax and choose to go if you want to whichever speaker/event.
TIA!

My in-laws attended their Shabbos the last couple of years. I've never heard my (reserved) mother in law waxing so enthusiastic about anything like she did about this Shabbos.

It's amazing and extravagant and the babysitter we were assigned was superb. But almost all of the speeches and programs are in Yiddish

Thanks for the feedback!
How is the meals seating arrangements? Couples own table seating? Bigger tables with mixed seating? Men and woman seated separately on each side of the dining hall?
If I go, I will have an infant. Do they bring compentant babysitters?
If its mostly Chassidish, what is the rest of the crowd?
Anyone have a copy of their program from last year?

The seating is separate seating with a mechitza, like at simchos. They provide babysitters, usually high school girls.

Was out of this world!
The food was incredible, very plentiful, and an amazing assortment.

Speakers and workshops were really good!
Support from others was amazing!

I'm not Chassidish and felt very welcomed and at home.

Do they offer the option of couples seating on their own small tables? (Like in a separate room)
I know another agency offered this option at their shabbos.

For those who went- which speakers and entertainers have they braught in the past?
Thanks!

It's my first year using this agency, so it's the first time we are invited. I think each County is different on what age they give comhab, I don't know.
For those who have been- are there Chabad people there too?

I think I saw at least 2 chabad couples there. I was like one of 3 Sephardi couples. The rest were mainly litvish and chassidish.

I look forward to it every year. They really do an incredible job.
Mostly chasidish crowd but a good 20 or 30 ppl not. It gets bigger each year. Most of those are jpf or yeshivish.
Separate seating for men and women. None of speeches are obligatory. The food is a.ma.zing. babysitters make you feel like you are doing them a favor by dropping off your baby. Alot of the speeches are in Yiddish but many in English too. They have psychologist on staff, makeup artists for Friday. And motza shobbos they have a bunch of activities and a major melaveh malka with entertainment.
I get alot of chizzuk being with other parents of special needs children and I network alot about schools, camps, services, etc. And have made friends over the years. The hotel is really nice as well.

A make up artist, wow! What time does one must be there Friday to have their face done? It is a short Friday.
When you say there are psychologists, is that for parents to consult with, or they are speakers?
Who usually caters and what's the hechsher?
Thank you!

Caterers are chasidish. I dont know the hechsher but the everyone seems ok with it.
