There is a garage for the freezer and storage. One of the bedrooms has a pull down attic for storage too.
I guess my biggest thing is having guest on the same floor as us.
I live in a house similar to the one you are considering. We do have a basement but although it’s large we rent out the whole thing. We have enough space for our family without the basement but personally I have a hard time putting guests on our bedroom floor. I’m a very private person so I don’t think most people will have this issue. I also have a hard time keeping the kids bedrooms neat all the time and it’s a big pressure for me when we have guests. I don’t do it anymore as a favor to neighbors only if I have family obligations do I bring guests upstairs. My dream is to build a private guest suite out of my garage one day...
keep in mind that you are not buying the house for guests, you are buying it for your family.
