I am looking to make a small sheva brachos (35 - 40) people on a boat, leaving from Manhattan.

Anyone done it? Any leads? Approximate pricing?

Anon bc people IRL know that I want to make this, don't want to disclose my username.

Thank you!

I was on a bar mitzvah around manahattan island. I found it very unsettling. I have a rock hard stomach but definitely got queasy and found it hard to stand (stay balanced) and this was on a much bigger boat than you’re thinking of. Just a warning

I could see sheva brachos on a boat being a fun and unique experience, but it does pose some logistical problems. Most importantly, all the guests have to be there on time because once the boat leaves it won't come back for anyone. In many circumstances, the chassan and kallah come late to sheva brachos and that would be a major issue here. Also people can't leave until the boat ride is over, even if the babysitter calls with an emergency or whatever. Then there's the issue of guests being seasick or even just queasy trying to eat while the boat is in motion. There's also a question of whether or not the weather will cooperate. A scenic boat ride in the rain isn't so fun.

Just some food for thought.

I wanted to get married on a boat. My Rabbi got seasick. Oh well. Same problem for the bar mitzvah

I'm so curious how people do this. What if a guest needs to leave? I likely wouldn't go if I couldn't leave early if necessary.

I've seen parties on boats, the boat not sailing. That's obviously super tacky and useless, the true definition of a waste, but
