I know, right? I remember and use maybe .0001% of the hacks I read about, but the few that I do adopt are worth all the time spent browsing. One of my faves:
When putting grapes or cherry tomatoes in salad, cut them in half by piling them inside a plastic lid of the type that tops oatmeal canisters, Top with a second lid, hold down with one hand, and pass a sharp kitchen knife between the two lids. Perfect halves in one pass! The video used china saucers with round rims on the underside, but my dishes don’t have the rim. The plastic lids are perfect and I don’t get that icky goosebumpy sensation from the sound of a knife blade rubbing against the unglazed china. If you don’t have oatmeal lids, plastic container lids or metal jar lids will work, depending on their depth. You don’t want anything too deep.
And the edge of a teaspoon makes a dandy curve guide for eyeshadow.
