Tell him! He'll appreciate that and will tell you

Give him "coupons" he can redeem. For example, one for a massage, one for you cover a house chore that's typically his, one for you bake/cook something he likes that you don't often do, etc.

Write him a letter with something small. Leave chocolate in his bag for work.
Little small things add up. I like the coupons. You can give him a different one each night or leave it in his work bag.

"Coupons" have been a thing in my family for a long time. If your love language is quality time, they are the best gift ever. My parents always gave each other coupon books, and my sister and I as well.
For DD, I gave her coupons for
One free day out of school.
One meal at a sushi restaurant.
3 backrubs.
One ice cream party with friends on the block.
6 hours of listening time (broken down into 30 minutes at a time.)
Hugs and kisses are always FREE!
She says she likes toys and clothes and stuff, but the coupons always made her smile the most. She made coupons for me, too. She'd offer chores, quiet time, hugs and kisses, and help making dinner.
If you are at all crafty, you can make the coupon books very cute, bound in ribbon, with a nice cover. Pinterest has loads of good ideas, and even some printables you can use on your computer.

Coupons are fun for kids. I'd be extremely disappointed. Better a free outing together
