Is there any place I can buy an 18 inch boy doll without breaking the bank? The Jewish toy stores have 18 inch girl dolls that are like a knockoff of the american girl dolls so they're much cheaper but I dont think they make them in boys-that's what I'm looking for. Does it exist?

I think the Our Generation (Gabe, Rafael, Tyler) dolls have sleep eyes, but the My Life As (Walmart) don't, if that matters to you.

My Sibling dolls are excellent. At least as sturdy as American Girl, and much less expensive. They come with lots of hair, so we give it an upsherin and hot glue on a koppel. The hair doesn't get fuzzy over time like cheaper dolls, like from target. My kids really bang them around, and they hold up great. Eyes open and close. You can buy other, more "heimish" clothes on the website under "doll clothes and accessories."
