I grew up with carpet, and always felt like it’s much cozier.
But, carpet never really is truly clean.
Which would you recommend for bedrooms, and why?

Wood! That's what's in style. Plus, you can add a rug for coziness.

Definitely wood. Like you said it’s much easier to clean. Plus, carpet is a nightmare for anyone with allergies with all the dust mites getting stuck. A cozy pair of slippers near the bed is great for cold nights

We have wood in the master (1st floor) and carpet in the other bedrooms (2nd floor). In our old house our bedroom was carpeted. After 10 years, I am considering putting down carpet in my bedroom. Wood is cold on the feet in the winter (we live somewhere with pretty cold winters), and the carpeting provides a little bit of insulation from noises (creaking floors, noises in the rooms below). If those things don’t bother you though, then wood is a good choice, as it is easier to clean.

I love carpet, so much more comfortable and cozy for a bedroom. We don’t have any dust allergies. It’s just harder to keep it clean, so we did wood for the kids bedroom and carpet for our bedroom.
