You have a better example of government overreach at its finest?

We’ve moved to NY now? I thought this was a NJ conversation.
When the US Supreme Court refuses the hear the case, let me know.

Ah, so because there's worse out there, I should shut up?
And I'm talking specifically about Democrat-controlled states like NY and NJ.

The OP was about both NY and NJ. Forgive me for derailing this thread.

I read it. I didn’t see any support for NJ corruption.

The RE is being abused. Do you agree?

Save your outrage for the people who misused the RE, then got crazy vocal about standing their ground during the measles outbreak and didn't just agree to quietly take their kids out of school instead of getting involved with picketing, publicized rallies, giving outrageous sound bites to the media.. Concerns and anger from the public are what forced the government into taking action.

Switching out 3 permanent members of the health committee a day before the vote?
Putting the vote on the senate agenda before it had passed the health committee?
The sponsor of the bill putting himself on the health committee?
Call it dirty politics, call it corruption. But if the bill wouldn't pass without these manipulations, it shouldn't be passed. That's not what a democracy is.

No comment. That's not the issue under discussion.

You wouldn't have one without the other. Cause and effect. Also if you open up a debate, anything related is fair game.

Do you think the bill for repeal is triggered by the abuse of the RE?
Do you think BIG PHARMA is behind this?

Since you only want to debate on your terms, and conveniently refuse to discuss anything that doesn't work even if related, not sure what the point of this debate is.
I'll take you at your word that you are not an anti vaxxer...But the style of debate doesn't really indicate that.

Without any other context, I would have thought so. But following the events in NY and in NJ has made me re-think this cause and effect. At this point, I think the trigger for this bill is money going into the right pockets. There, I said it. Call me a conspiracy theorist.

So now I need to post my kids' vaccine records in order to post on imamother? Wow.
I am saying there is corruption here and it stinks. You're saying either there's no corruption or it doesn't stink.

I think that if the anti vax movement wouldn't be so hyperbolic about it, there would be more people against the bill. The fact that we are yelling corruption and fear mongering etc really turns off the regular people, who dont care so much about these issues from listening to really feel concerned.
I suggest you relax and talk about what is actually in the bill that concerns you.

That *is* the definition of dirty politics.
But without the trigger it wouldn't have been worth angering the small percentage of constituents. Once the outrage from the public proved how small it really was, then yes, everyone likely to profit took note.
