Do you need data too or is it only talk n text? My husband just rented a SIM card for $56 per week, unlimited talk n text, but data is additional money. My husband went to eretz Yisroel for less than 48 hours so wasn't worth spending the extra for data. Oh and he rented it from World of communications in Brooklyn.

Thanks amother white. Mostly talk n text, though Google maps or Waze would be smart too.

I saw on Amazon too.

Ohhh. Question is, if it would be worth it for you, I think they wanted additional $42 for data

Maybe something like this? Golan is a popular provider here, it's what my whole family uses.

I used simtoisrael.com
Looks like 25$ for a 7 day plan with data. You can't text to America, you have to use WhatsApp.

Unlimitedisrael.net This is what my boss recommended and uses. They have lots of different options.

I ended up borrowing one from someone who just returned from israel. From Golan.

I just got back from Israel. I used https://cheaptalkisrael.com/
It was $3.50 a day to use my own cell phone with an Israeli sim card. They have phones for rent too.

Check with your current provider about adding international

I have t-Mobile and I didn't have to pay anything extra to use my phone in Israel. I had unlimited text and data. For phone calls it was 25 cents per minute for both incoming and outgoing.

Can anyone clarify- how do you get a SIM card to work on your phone? Does your plan have to approve it?

Your phone has to be unlocked. All verizon phones are unlocked. I don't know about other companies, but you should call your provider and ask them

Iv you have a smartphone, some companies like sprint or tmobile and I think at&t will let you sign up on an international plan (doesnt cost extra on your monthly payment) that lets you have text and data for free and talk for 20 cents a minute. and you dont need to buiy a sim card

This is for israel. I think its different depends which country youre going to
