Any ideas for some lower fat/lower calorie meals that are still kind of chanukah-ish? Need something that my carb loving husband & toddler would enjoy but that isn't so carby if that makes sense (dainty vegetable recipes won't do). (Don't worry they're getting plenty of latkes and doughnuts, they won't be deprived).
So far I've though of Greek yogurt & fruit filled crepes. Any other ideas?

Carbs aren't specifically chanukah related, except for the sufganiyot. You can try any vegetable combo if oil is not the issue. I make a different vegetable latke almost every day and I don't follow a recipe. Dh and kids love them all

Very true. My family members love carb heavy meals so in general I'm always looking for ways to get some veggies in place of some of the carbs in a way they will still enjoy what they are eating.
Oil is an issue. Trying to find some lower calorie options since between the pre-chanukah events last week and the Chanukah parties this week we will be having so many latkes and doughnuts and pizza!

Chicken dipped in mayo/bbq sauce with spices, rolled in corn flake crumbs and baked. A hit with kids and adults alike,,.or make pasta with meat sauce...

I usually put chicken parts in a crock pot with olive oil, salt, olives, zahatar and baby potatoes, garlic, onion

Thanks everyone.
This is what I came up with:
Crepes with yogurt and fruit
Latkes, Greek salad and spinach phyllo "pie"
Zaatar chicken, poatoes & vegetable soup
