Im looking at this container of Fresh Express Organic Spinach, thats sold as a sealed container from Fresh Express. Theyre a huge national company that sells to huge supermarkets all over the USA.
There's a sticker on the box sold in Boro Park with "Yoka" Hashgacha that says "Insect Free ".
Are the Yoka Mashgichim getting loose (unpackaged) Organic Vegetables and checking them themselves and then packaging it themselves and putting on their Hashgacha sticker that says Insect Free?
I wonder.

If anyone can tell me the number of Yoka Hashgacha, I would.
I googled it and read some not positive things.

It says BECHEZKAS, not "no bugs."
Presumably what they are doing is going to the factory, and during a run, they are sampling the lettuce several times and checking it for bugs. If they find none in their sample, they can state that the entire batch is "bechezkas einam metolaim."
What it means is that the lettuce itself was not infested, and/or the washing procedure is effective at removing most/all of the bugs.

The fact that theres no Rabbis name on the sticker bothers me. Anyone can write Yoka on a sticker.
