How often do you give tips? Chanukah? Purim? Pesach? Monthly?
I have $0 in the budget for this, but desperately want to show my appreciation...
We did nothing for Chanukah and I feel terrible

As a teacher I appreciate any token of appreciation. I don’t like to hear people say” well teachers only need money “ or “ it’s embarrassing to give a rebbi x amount of money”.
Money is one way of saying thank you. But there are so many other ways. A nice and heartfelt card. You can even attach it to a chocolate bar. Who doesn’t like to feel like their work is noticed?

As an assistant preschool teacher for 1.5 years, I have revieved (at end of year) one $25 gift card, one child's drawing, one handwritten note, (at Chanukah) one monagrammed mug, and one scarf with child's drawing. All are quite appreciated, none are expected, and there is clearly no set standard.
