My friend is opening up her own business. she asked me to open an instagram account because she needs at least one loyal follower. Im not sure what to do, on one hand id love to be there to support her but on the other hand I know instagram is so addictive. Ill be bz all day with it. What should I do??

For her to get one follower it’s not worth it. I waste hours of my life on there. Tell her to run a giveaway she’ll get lots of followers right away.

Don't do it! One follower won't make it or break it. She can get her family and other's to follow her.

Idk how people say Instagram is so addictive. I scroll through it once a day, if that, and then that’s it. Maybe I just follow uninteresting people, but there’s nothing about Instagram that would make it addicting to me.

I agree, instagram is boring and I don’t spend much time there. I spend more time on facebook.

No it’s not, she’ll be insulted because you aren’t watching her stories or liking her posts.
Don’t do it.
Signed, maxes out of Instagram but stuck there for personal and professional reasons (read: active accounts).

I wouldn't open IG just to follow a friend. I also think it's a bit ridiculous of her to ask that of you. Just tell her I dont have Instagram, if I ever do get it I'll make sure to follow you.
Caution, if you do do it she'll be asking you to comment on this and that, repost etc and I don't think you need that.
