Hi
I didn't think my daughter would go to Israel for seminary but I'm rethinking it.
Are there any seminaries for girls with some special Ed needs and a medical condition?
She needs closer supervision but she's a typical girl otherwise.
Any ideas?
Thank you

I think that as long as she's socially typical there are plenty of schools that will consider a non-academic, well-behaved girl with good middos. You could look into Ateres, Keser Chaya, BYA, Binas... All known for getting nice good girls but not necessarily all straight A students.

There are girls with medical issues in every school! As long as she can manage it on her own I don't see why it would be a problem unless it's really something major. ex. I can see a seminary not wanting to take a girl with anorexia... but if someone has type 1 diabetes and it's under control no one would have a problem with it

It's a little more complicated than diabetes etc.
I'm concerned for her safety also.
Getting lost etc
Maybe a place with more personalized supervision.

This is an amazing place (I know people who have gone to both the boys and girls programs)

I heard of it and she actually has friends going there. Not sure it's the right fit for her though
I emailed them for information.
Thank you

The best idea would be to contact them and explain her issues and they will be able to tell you if she would fit into the program or not.

My daughter went to darkeynu. She was the highest functioning and it wasn’t a perfect fit, but she still had an amazing year, and grew so much.
