So my 18 yr old dd started bedwetting at night. She used to struggle with bedwetting till around 12 yr old but since then didnt seem to have any problems. Sometimes its nightly and sometimes shes fine for a few weeks. Its definitely worst around her period. She a happy girl bh with no trauma that I could think of. This is bothering her alot( obviously) her pediatrician poo pood it away. Said its gonna stop just as fast as it started. What should I do now?

I just want to add that I called the pediatric urologist that I used for a different child. They said they cant c her because shes over 18. Anyone know of a good adult urologist?

If she is 18 she should go get a full exam with an adult doctor. So many different things can cause incontinence I would start at the beginning.

This is not sudden incontinence. This is bedwetting. I would go to a PT that specializes in pelvic issues.

UTI

My 6 yo came up negative for uti screening at the ped.
We went to someone for another issue but also mentioned this and her terrible teeth issue. The lady mentioned bacterial overgrowth in the digestive tract and urinary tract.
She used to change her pullup in middle of the night, and even so it would leak....
Now she wakes up dry half the time and the rest shes just a bit wet. Getting better slow but steady.
I would reccomend you try strong acidaphilus and MRSA miracle by Herbari.
Def see a urologist too to rule out other causes. But in the meantime you can try this.

I remember reading once that for girls it's related to hormones. My niece takes medication for bedwetting

Pelvic floor specialist.

I suggest swimming, it strengthens core and pelvic floor.

A time has a program called Chava that deals with women issues. They know these things call them. They are so helpful.
