Please help, o wise Imamothers! I need to open this jar of marinara sauce to make dinner. DH is not home. I don't want to wait for him.
Anyone discovered something magical for those of us weaklings with tiny hands?

Knock the lid on its side with a standard knife from your cutlery set.

Put a rubber band or ponytail underneath the cap. Usually works for me

Put a spoon between the cover and the rim of the jar. Turn the jar upside down and gently push the spoon till the jar pops.
Or
Bang the tip with a spoon till.it releases and opens.

Please don't roll on the floor laughing but this is literally what I do.
I put on a pair of shoes with rubber soles (ie crocs)
Sit down on the floor butterfly style with the jar nestled between the soles of the two shoes.
Then using either rubber gloves or a jar opener I am able to open the cover.
Works every time and gives my kids a good laugh

Bang the lid lightly against a hard surface like the floor or a counter top and it should open.

My can opener has a piece that hooks into the cover and you pull out a few places around until you hear the air release and then it’s easy to open

Here’s the can opener. See the hook on the bottom part. Quick and easy to open jars.

This. Wedge the hook piece under the lid until you hear the lid pop. Then you'll be able to open the lid easily. I actually bought just a hook device that I use for this all the time.

I use a table knife to do that. And if it's not working, I run the lid under some boiling water to expand the metal a little.

I do either the rubber band around the top, or use a beer opener.
My mom used to send us to the upstairs neighbor and im trying to avoid that.
