Chayalla - you posted that you work for a company with a pension plan. Can I ask posters to tell me which companies in lakewood offer pension/ health insurance / stock options. I am looking to leave my current job and would love more information on these options.

Government jobs do
My father will get iyH
My friends who work for social security will. Get. They do get paid less then private but will get health insurance and a nice pension for life.
Federal employees do even better.
I doubt Jewish companies give stock options and it won’t be worth anything for years.
I get stock options but no pension from a non Jewish company based out of Trenton. But they aren’t worth much.

Are there government jobs in or near lakewood? I know it sounds like a dumb question- but what sort of federal jobs are here?

Pension is only offered at government jobs as far as I know.
Look into the public school system.

I know ppl who work as programmers in the army forts near Lakewood.
Public School jobs get a pension.
Also some local Lakewood men work for public works. retirement is taken care of and there is job security and guaranteed raises.
In Maryland tons of ppl work for government. Both federal and state. Lakewood not as much.
I have friends who are programmers for SSI. Or work as accountants for IRS. It management positions in different areas of govt.
