Appropriate for children of all ages. (Including mine!) Not a drop of romance.

Little kids love it but you might have to explain the deeper meaning such as the parents being more involved with business and causes, than with the kids.
Also, the character played by d!ck Van Dyke is a poor shlmazal who gives street performances for a few coins in his cap and that needs to be explained to the kids.

No, I wouldn't say it's entirely appropriate.

Mary Poppins and Bert do have some sort of romance going on there.

When Mary holds your hand, you feel so grand. Your heart starts beating like a big brass band! .....

Oh, it's a jolly holiday w Mary! No wonder that it's Mary that we love! Whistling Whistling

Still overall quite kosher. They don't kiss or anything.

You can get the frum (kashered) version from Zir Chemed or Rachel's Place.

School age kids probably don't pick up on it and if they do, it can be explained that non Jews get married that way.

There is no kissing, as far as I can remember.

Some hand-holding during some very prim and proper mixed dancing. Not sure if that is okay for you.

Mary Poppins is great!!!
Do I remember right that somewhere at the end Mr Banks, Jane and Michael's father, gives his wife a kiss?
Regardless, you must let your kids watch it. At least once.

I have no problem with my own kids watching it. Except they don't really like musicals.

I'm just responding to OP's question.

Love it! Thanks for the blast from the past. I haven't watched it in too long. Think I'll watch with my kids at some point. Good bonding time Smile

Though you're just a diamond in the rough, Bert
Underneath your blood is blue!
You'd never think of pressing your advantage
Forbearance is the hallmark of your creed
A lady needn't fear when you are near
Your sweet gentility is crystal clear!
