I don’t think anything is necessary when she comes back. Can you afford to pay her transportation every time, like a raise
When my cleaning lady leaves for an extended period of time we always give her a little extra in her pay check
But she has been with us for 12 yrs.

She left and gets a rise for coming back? unsure anyone does that but again I'm from "not imamother". If anything she inconvenienced you.
