I buy two or three nicely packaged non perishable items in the grocery and put them in a plain white or brown box with ribbon around it. Maybe the color of the ribbon will coordinate with the costumes, maybe not.

Hi, I do this every year. Looks very presentable, simple to prepare and can be done much in advance.
Large sparkling grape juice, bar chocolate (I create a purim wrapper for it) and some gold wrapped candies in a small mesh bag.
Happy pre(paring for)Purim!!!
