If you live in Monsey and purchased your home within the last 2 years - how much did you pay?

I don't live in Monsey, and I have been in my home for almost 20 years, but I do not feel this thread can go anywhere good. If you want to know what homes cost, look at Zillows or some other real estate website or even a local paper.

Why would this go in a bad direction? I want to know what people are currently paying. This isn't supposed to turn into an argument about housing prices.

As for how I define a home - it can be any residence in Monsey - single family, semi attached, condo, etc.

The house prices in monsey ain’t that bad the taxes are a killer!!!! Some people don’t realize how expensive it is until they do full numbers most people I know spent between 550,000-850,000 some the taxes went high upon end new mortgage was being taken out. I actually know a few people had to back out cause they couldn’t afford taxes

I call 550K-850K quite bad, even without the taxes.

I bought a high ranch for 470k in airmont 3.5 years ago. Prices are still fairly the same since then in this neighborhood. Taxes are 12.5 after star (it's a legal mother daughter, rest of my neighbors don't pay as much) . our mortgage is about 3k
