There are lots of other compounds that are involved in the methylation cycle and may affect people with methylation errors.
Also, because b vitamins and methylation are so important for so many different essential processes in the body, many organs and functions end up being affected.
Lots of people don't realize that just about all grains and flours in the US are fortified with synthetic vitamins, so it's not just supplements mthfr people need to be careful about.
