In another thread there's a debate about whether to put your kids first or your husband first. I strongly believe that whenever possible, we should put ourselves first!
Is that controversial?

In what sense? The context really changes everything.

I only use the toenail clipper. I mean, if you want to cut more or less straight across, it's so much more convenient.

I'm confused about this body hair obsession.
Do people want to look prepubescent?

I figure I am just the confused stupid hairy one.
I have never waxed anything-not even an eyebrow. (I do occasionally tweeze the stray hair, but BH I don't have a unibrow, and their natural shape is their shape.)
I shave my pits and legs -only to the knee, have never shaved higher, when I go to Mikva and maybe 1 more time a month-only because sometimes the tights get itchy, nothing to do with DH.

I don't know if it is because I am old and didn't used to be a thing, or I'm just not sufficiently high maintenance. (I've probably gotten a manicure about 1/2 dozen times in my life. - I have no patience and it just seems like a waste of time and money, I can polish myself.)

I used to prepare the healthiest, most gourmet breakfasts. My children were too nervous and nauseous to eat it. It was a huge struggle each morning to get them to eat. Now my morning is way calmer, and my kids go to school wayy happier. Without breakfast.

I'll see ya and raise ya.

I had my brows done once for an experiment. Never again bli neder.
The shape of my brows is part of my individuality.

I do my underarms in the summer or once in a while in the winter if I'm very active. Mainly to reduce perspiration.

I almost never do my legs, though TBH if I ever get around to going swimming I may. (I did as a girl & maybe in the long-ago days when I wore sheer tights.) But it itches so badly growing in I can't bear it. I wear opaque socks (not tights, no no, can't stand that either!).

I decided it was not worthwhile to suffer for (someone's vision of) beauty.

Now my chin and upper lip are a different story. When I see a black hair growing in (or even a long light one) I am all over it. (Why do the hairs on the face turn black when the hairs on the head are beginning to turn grey?). This is because MY personal vision of ugly is witch-like hairs on my face.

Which I suspect means I've read too many Grimm's Fairy Tales.
