I recently moved to a house with an electric stove with a glass stove top. My rav said I could easily kasher the actual burners by turning them on full heat, but that it's much more complicated to kasher the area in between the burners. Pouring boiling water would probably cause the glass to crack. He suggested I buy metal discs to put on top of the burners to stay in between my pots and the stove. That way if anything spills (the hot spilled liquid could 'connect' the non-kosher area in between the burners with my pot that is on the kosher burner, or something like that) or if the pot moves over a bit, it won't be an issue.
Does anyone here have this issue and have you purchased metal discs? If so, can you provide links or recommendations?
