What can I serve instead of fish? I’m already serving a dip and a salad

Knishes. Or any other single serving dish involving pastry plus filling.

Chopped liver
Go Israeli and have a salatim course.
Avocado
I know some people who serve grapefruit or melon for a first course.

Plated salad is always nice with something substantial on top.

Thanks! So many great ideas- it’s not a special event but I love to try new foods and switch up my menu- we do a mix of traditional and untraditional foods! I was bored of making all of my salatim this week
