My 5 month old was just tested for allergies. Turns out, he's allergic to a whole bunch of things, and the skin test made him react. He has terrible eczema, and he's flushed and screaming and miserable.
What can I do to help him feel better? (Besides hydrocortisone. I've been applying that religiously, and he's still so sad. )

Possibly Benadryl, but please do this only with specific instructions from a doctor you trust. When my similar age baby had an allergic reaction with hives and was really miserable, I was advised by the Dr on call to try to manage without Benadryl as it's a serious drug for such a young child.

Benadryl isn't safe for kids under 2.
Ask your doctor what allergy meds are safe to give.
Applying aloe vera can cool the itching.
