Until what age would you have a boy and girl sharing a bedroom? Boy is preschool age now and girl is an infant. Just curious what is the usual cut-off age for room sharing of opposite genders.

My 6 year old son shares with his older sisters. I think it's still ok for now, but I'm planning on setting up separate bedrooms within the near future (it'll take some major rearranging).

I'd consider each case individually (not black and white), but approximately until the older child is 9.

Unless there are worrisome reasons, I'd be ok with the younger child up to age 6-7. No difference to older kid age. BUT, only if they don't get dressed/undressed in front of each other and sleep decently dressed. No locked doors.
DH feels otherwise, and we have enough bedrooms, and my kids refuse to learn that they can get dressed in the bathroom , so we don't have opposite gender kids sharing a bedroom.

DD12 shared with DS4 for a year to give DS10 one year of having his own room. Then my daughter and older son switched.
