I don't know about the place you mentioned, but if you're willing to venture a little further I've heard good things about a new place in the 5 Towns called Apron Masters. They're under the Vaad.

NAK NORTH AMERICAN KOSHER
Kosher Culinary Center is under the hashgacha of North American Kosher Supervision, LLC and Beis Ben Zion Kosher Supervision. Rabbi Blech of Beis Ben Zion Kosher Supervision came on as our Rav Hamachsher before Kosher Culinary Center was truly born. His ability to lecture, educate, and interact with Jewish students (both male and female) made this a natural fit. Along with his status of accomplished author and kashrut authority, his accolades are too many to list. Rabbi Blech was not only a Rav Hamachsher but a Rav, mentor, and advisor in life.
Before his untimely demise, Rabbi Blech made arrangements with Rabbanim he considered experts in the field to carry on the tradition of maintaining a high level of kashrut. His association with these Rabbanim was made from respect for these men he deemed most ethical and capable in the kashrut business. Kosher Culinary Center continues to honor Rabbi Blech and support his family by continuing hashgacha under North American Kosher Supervision which manages Beis Ben Zion Kosher Supervision.
From the beginning, the North American Policy has been to work to the highest standard of halacha and thus assure kashrut certification and acceptability throughout the Jewish community. North American certified products are accepted by rabbis and kosher agencies both here and abroad.
Rabbi Aharon Simkin, is the Rabbinic Administrator of the Industrial Division of Kehila Kosher/Igud Hakashrus of Los Angeles. He has an extensive background in industrial and Food Service kosher supervision. He previously served as Regional Coordinator for the Kashrut Division of the Orthodox Union (OU) and as the West Coast Regional Coordinator for Kof K Kosher Supervision. He was previously the Rabbinic Administrator of the Vaad Ha-Ir of Los Angeles. Rabbi Simkin also serves the community as Rabbi Emeritus of the Young Israel of Northridge, California.
The East Coast Kashrut Coordinator for NAK is Rabbi Binyomin Taub of RCBC/Rabbinical Council of Bergen County.
All vegetables, leafy greens, herbs, etc. are thoroughly washed and checked by a Shomer Shabbos member of our staff. Bread is Pas Yisroel. Cooking is bishul Yisroel. Wine is mevushal. All meat is Glatt Kosher. Packaged goods must all carry a reliable hechsher such as Ou, OK, Star K, and Kof K. We are the only culinary school in the US where a kosher keeping person can receive a classic education in culinary and pastry arts & baking without endangering their commitment to their beliefs. No other culinary school will be able to address the challenges involved in cooking for Shabbos, baking pareve desserts, or adapting classic sauces.
