My kids have mid winter Any ideas of where I can take 3 kids tomorrow. Ages 9 and down

You can go to Rockefeller center, younger kids will enjoy small fire engine museum, everyone else can enjoy watching figure skaters in the outdoor rink, check out the models in the Lego store, and girls especially can enjoy a look around the American girl doll store. It's low key, better than staying home on vacation but less frenetic than a big trip.
Other options - Google library culture pass, if you have a library card you can search for places that offer free tickets, including Brooklyn children's museum - may be a little too young for the 9 yo but depends on personality, mine would still enjoy - or a zoo if the weather is decent.
There's basically no limit to what you can do in NYC with kids but that's what comes off the top of my head
