Florida for dummies

I want to go to Florida with my husband for a weekend.
The thing is.. I was never there! Where do I go??
My dh would want minyanim...
Something quiet and relaxing..
Beach would probably be a problem for us
We don’t want the major attractions just a quiet getaway that would be appropriate for shabbos—
Anyone?

North Miami is a better choice for you if you’re looking for a quite place and away from the beach. You can rent your private villa with pool. I’m not sure what you have in mind about shabbos meals. If you want to eat out and be catered, I don’t think you have that in north Miami. I know that there are a few options in Miami Beach if you want to eat out. But that’s close to the beach and less quite.

Tower 41 is an apartment house located in miami beach, close to shuls, restaurants, and the beach. You would need to rent an apartment.
Im not sure if there is anyplace you can eat shabbos meals now in miami beach. I don't know if the restaurant is open on friday night these days. (The caterer from last year closed down.) I can find out for you if you like.
Just for your information, anyone who gives you info about restaurants etc, if their info is from last year, double check it. Things close down/change with alarming frequency here. In miami beach, you wouldnt need a car, everything is walking distance.

In North miami beach, you can get catered food. There is a woman I know who makes delicious heimish food for tourists. She would deliver to your location. But it needs to be ordered in advance (I think by the beginning of the week.) There are a lot more options for renting a house in nmb. Miami beach has nothing like that. You would need a car in nmb.
