The initial symptoms are coughing and fever. Since this is identical to most respiratory diseases, epidemiological data is also important in assessing the degree of risk involved.

Most people probably have no symptoms or very mild symptoms similar to the common cold. Others may experience a fever, cough, or trouble breathing. Less than 5% of people may require supportive care. I doubt anyone here knows anyone personally with the virus at the moment and it likely could stay that way. If you recently travelled to an infected area and or believe you were somehow exposed, speak to your doctor.
