BH we currently have two little girls - Talya and Adina Bracha. We are expecting another baby and talking about names....for a girl I really like Ayala but my husband is concerned it sounds too similar to Talya. I just don’t see it myself and they sound like totally different names to me! Does anyone else agree with me or with him? Do you know any girls with a Talya and Ayala in the same family?!

Not too similar, unless you call them Tali and Yali or something, which I don't recommend.

Both nice names but I feel like people would constantly mix them up

Even if they do sound similar, what's wrong with that?
I know families with Eli and Racheli, Avi and Chavi, Nava and Zahava...

I personally find it cute when siblings have similar/rhyming names! Wink

They ARE similar but cute.,
I know a family that has a raizel and a roiza.. named after different people
Another family I know the mothers name is Serel and the daughter is Tzirel.
People do it but usually it’s because they want to use the name to name after someone unless you just want to be cute and don’t care what anyone says.

It also depends how you pronounce them. American pronunciation or Israeli?

Thanks everyone! I’m probably coming round to my husbands viewpoint although to me they are still totally different names as they mean completely different things! I’m sad I can’t use it as I really love it! To add to the similarity though baby is due exactly the same date as Talya was born!!

Oh well...maybe we’ll have a boy!!
