My son's will be 11 and 8 (8 year old is very short for his age due to a condition so looks more like 5/6)
It's in November iyH. Friday night Seuda
I want to match my 2 younger boys. My bar mitzvah son will obviously wear a suit. Are nice jumpers ok or just a different blazer to my older son?

For that age I’d definitely do a nice suit over a sweater for a bar mitzvah.

I would put a shirt under a suit or a jumper. Just not sure which one. Thanks

My boys start asking for suits from 5 or 6 so for an 8 and 11 year old I'd definitely go with a suit. Where I live Shabbos sweaters are only worn by younger boys.

11 year old blazer.
It would usually be a toss up for the 8 year old, but since he looks young for his age, I'd definitely go with a blazer. It will let him know that you recognize that he's a big boy.

The bar mitzvah boy should have a new suit. His brothers should look nice and be comfortable. Does it really matter what they wear? It'll be Shabbos, and no one is taking pictures.

Yes I could do a nice smart sweater for the kiddush and suit for the Seuda. I wasn't sure which way round. Usually for the winter I like to buy my boys a blazer/suit or nice shirt and a jumper for friday nights. I prefer younger boys in sweaters as theyll be wearing suits for the rest of their lives.

They can wear the same suit!
Just make sure they have a clean shirt.
I have a bar mitzvah coming up in a couple of months. I’ll be buying a new suit for the bar mitzvah. But his younger brother will wear a suit that he already has if it still fits nicely. No need to go over board

Good idea just to get them an extra shirt.
