I would like to buy my turning 4 DD a b-day present. We have lots of duplo lego, lincoln logs and magna tiles
I'm looking for something that is not too expensive and that can still be built/played with even if I purchase a small amount (like I'm not looking to spend $100 on a 90 piece set. not sure if I'm being reasonable...
Any ideas?

With one child you can have a small set and have it be played with. Some recommendations:
1. Keva planks (there are some with connectors for younger children)
2. Regular, old fashioned standard castle blocks.
3. Train tracks
4. Tegu blocks (can be expensive)
5. Playstix or Lincoln logs

Straws and connectors aren’t expensive and are a lot of fun. Only thing is that they can be a choking hazard if that’s a problem

OP check out cardboard blocks or Gigi blocks.
