Can someone please give me an explanation why people are fighting over toilet paper in the stores???
Would people rather starve than have a clean bottom??? Toilet paper is the least of my worries!!
I'm really finding it comical.

Right! I’m like, while they murder each other for toilet paper I’ll run and grab all the eggs.

And water. Why are ppl buying gallons of water?

I went to shoprite and the water aisle was half empty. I bought 3 cases of water bottles (my usual stock-up amount) at double the price I usually spend.

I have plenty of paper towels, toilet paper and tissues in the house B"H (thank you Amazon subscribe 'n' save) but stocked up on a big package of paper plates. The paper-goods aisle was also half empty.

I got pasta and sauce (my kids could live on that for a while), flour, sugar, and in the kosher grocery, bread and cheese.

No fights with anyone over any of these B"H.

Why is it that toilet paper is always considered Priority #1? What did people do before toilet paper? What about food, water, etc?

Some people only drink bottled water. I have relatives like that.

I once had a Shabbos guest who told me she only COOKS with bottled water.

I saw this guy in the supermarket pick up about 30 packets of spaghetti. He also had a couple of dozen tins of baked beans. Not much else but I have never seen a supermarket so empty. BH I did my shabbos shopping this morning.

I have stocked up on flour, rice, pasta, lentils and frozen veggies, and toilet paper but how much spaghetti and baked beans can you eat????

I was hoping that we would be getting rid of flour, pasta, spaghetti etc - it’s 3.5 weeks before pesach!

As Trevor Noah pointed out today, our bathrooms are equipped with SHOWERS.

I'm more afraid of Amazon and Wifi shutting down. Can you imagine?!!?!?!?!?

I gave in today and went and stocked up - but no chametz products! My cupboards are now full of rice, lentils, beans, tuna, salmon, baked beans and tinned and dried fruits. Some of it is even pesadik. Once I clean the freezer I'll add frozen vegetables, since most of them are also kosher for Pesach. I'd rather have been able to run down the food supplies as normal, but now I'm confident that we'll have what to eat, and I'm not worried about being stuck with huge quantities of chametz.
