Do you think that they will really use a month from the summer to make up for it?
If so they we have less of a pressure I think.
I do want to do some learning or project about pesach.
I am so not a home schooling type parent!!!!

I doubt schools will be only closed for a month. We'll see.

What kind of project are you thinking? Smile

I have plenty of ideas, but I want to see which (if any) work out in practice before sharing them here.

For now I'm going to try to keep math, English and Hebrew going. Beyond that, they can pick topics that interest them in science, history, art, Torah learning, languages, computers, cooking, etc, and do self-study. I think 2 "formal" classes (ie math or language taught by me), Torah study, 2 self-study activities, and a baking or art project, each day, will be plenty to start with. ('Classes' can rotate over the week).

No, I dont think they will use a whole month of summer vacation. Think about it this way. Its now really just 2 1/2 weeks before Pesach vacation, so if all kids o back to school after pesach, we could dream, right, then its really only 2 1/2 weeks of no school.
I am also not the home schooling parent and my daughter needs an actual misgeret to want to learn. This is going to be tough.

My daughters agreed to read a Haggadah with commentary or another Pesach sefer. We will try to get a little ahead in math. I also want to get a little ahead in English.
The rest of our building is gan kids, so they want to make a kaytana if gan gets cancelled.
