Is anyone familiar and can compare the differences between Vien camp to Tzelam camp?
My son was in Vien last year. We were really happy! Some of his friends are going to Tzelam this year. (his friends have nothing to do with Satmar, but are very chassidish-we are also very chassidish)
Is it going to be a huge let down in regard to having 'fun'? or just a tiny let down?

My boys are there. Great camp but nothing crazy. Vien and krasna are probably a lot more grand.

My nephews are in satmar. Can't compare at all. I think the poster meant to say that they toned down a lot the past 10 years. They used to be an all fun camp , now it's a fantastic camp with lots of fun but not crazy as in the past.

You can not compare Tzelem to Vein, if he's expecting the same fun, it'll be a huge let down for him.
Krasna, Munkatch, and Vein (in this order) are the most fun of the chassidish camps.

I didn't mean that it's like Satmer camp.
Just many of the boys and staff are Satmer'ish.

This.
Years ago Tzelem was a really fun program filled camp. Now not so much .

Krasna and Munkatch are now the exciting camps...

Don't think you can compare vein to tzelem but if his friends are going it's up to you if you want to give him the option.
