The answer is no. Don't take your coughing kids to the park. Don't go to a gathering of hundreds of people.

DD coughs year round due to allergies. She should never leave the house?
The park is ok, packed indoor venues are more a concern.

Also, parks are infested with germs. That's in general - not just now with coronavirus.

Obviously not the point of this thread but outdoor spaces are not as problematic as indoor spaces in which there are large numbers of people because one can avoid being sneezed on by distancing oneself from other people. This is impossible in closed areas where one would find it difficult to avoid inhaling air borne viruses.

Certain surfaces in a park might be contaminated but one can easily avoid those surfaces as well as using hand sanitizers often but one is relatively safe from airborne viruses outdoors.
