I vote crystal too. I currently have silver n hate polishing it, always keep thinking I should've gone with crystal.

Sterling silver is great but plated nowadays usually is a very thin veneer.

To us, fake is always bad. Better crystal.

Make sure it's good crystal.
I got cheaper flower ones & the wax was a nightmare to get out of the crevices of the crystal. I poured hot water to melt the wax & the glue holding the petals melted & they broke!

I have a few pairs of crystal. I didn't spend more than $15 on any one. One day one of my grandsons broke a few. Big deal. I got a few more...
I really like them better than silver. DH says I should get silver, but I doubt I will find a/t I like ; )
