Hugs. We're here for you. Vent as much as you need to. It sounds absolutely nerve-wracking. I hope you'll come back here and report that you had an absolutely beautiful birth, none of this craziness impacting your peace of mind. I wish you all the best. I'll be thinking of you Hug

OP, you have my deepest sympathy.

How far along are you? Is there a good chance you will recover before you go into labor?

Can you get tested? If you are negative (it could be anything, doesn't have to be coronavirus) then it should be a lot less stressful in the hospital. If you are positive, at least you know you tried; and you know when you are not contagious anymore (I forget how many days after fever).

OP, I work on a maternity ward in Israel.
Corona patients deliver in closed delivery rooms and then are isolated in a regular room on the maternity ward.
Usually their baby is with them.
They go home after the regular amount of hospitalization and continue isolation (if necessary) at home.
Please try to calm down.
You are not the first case they will see.
Inform medical personnel of your status before you get there.
Best wishes for a healthy baby and parents!

Bshaa tova!
Think about it- hospital are not shutting down. That's where all the sick people go! Especially the ones who are having complications because of Covid-19.
Giving birth in a hospital with staff in quarantine suits is way better than giving birth alone at home.
Be prepared for them to immediately test your baby.
You're gonna be fine! Refuah sheleimah!

In Hadassah they separated the mother and baby. Do you know why that was?
