I have a cleaning lady who's been coming for half a day, once a week for years. Last two weeks I wasn't feeling well so I cancelled. And now, because of everything, I want to cancel this week and probably until after pesach.
Money is tight, but I feel terrible that she is missing out on this income. What do you think is a fair amount to pay her these weeks that she doesn't come?

Do people actually have enough money right now to pay for part time cleaning help who isn’t coming?

I am paying my cleaning lady for the days she isn’t coming.
If I could afford to pay her to clean my house, I can afford to pay her when she can’t because of this emergency.
My house is of course not as clean or tidy as it is when she comes once a week.

I paid one week and then I’m stopping.
My heart broke from how she thanked me.
I don’t know how she’ll survive.

If I set it aside to pay her, like Lilac said, then it's set aside. Not that it's easy, pesach is always tight. But as it happens, we're also not hosting any family this year so that's a cost saving.
