would I be eligible for unemployment benefits if I only got the job in January? worked approximately from January until march. had to stop due to pandemic. the first day of work was the last day of december.

Where do you live?
In Canada the eligibility requirements for the emergency unemployment benefit are:
- At least 5000$ income in 2019 or the last 12 months.
- You have not been working for 2 weeks due to the pandemic.
If you qualify based on the above, you will receive a universal 500$/week until October no matter what your income was. Self-employed and gig workers included.
