I heard of people going school hopping, to check out what all the different schools were giving, even if they are not parents at that particular school. Apparently, it's acceptable to go to the closest location near you. Rumors are that Pupa girls' school has the best lunches, and Bais Esther is a close second. I heard Bais Esther served cheese blintzes yesterday and potato knishes and chocolate milk today. My children's schools gave more breakfast style, cold food. One school is offering a pickup every few days. We only had it once so far, but they had full size cereal boxes, 64 oz milk, 64 oz orange juice, loaves of bread, whole vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers), containers of tuna salad and egg salad, yogurts, possibly more. Another school I send to gave sandwiches (tuna or sliced cheese in rolls), chocolate lebens per child in family, individual milks, some whole fruits and vegetables, frozen orange juice cups, and cereal prepackaged in small containers, possibly more. Most of the schools offer the meals for the entire family, even the family members who are not students there.
Krasna provides hot suppers too. I was told that they served schnitzel, rice, cole slaw, and canned pears yesterday.

It’s open to all students ages 3-18 - you don’t need to be a student at that school , However some schools that starting running short give priorities to their students and tell other people if there is food left over after the pickup time they can come and get.

Like I said above, apparently it's ok, everyone is doing it, but I can't vouch for it. My friend lives a block away from Bais Esther so has been taking from there even though she is not a parent there. Her kids' school, in fact, is one of the few in BP not providing meals.

Satmer only gives for their students.
Pupa will start doing the same because they're running short for their own students.
