There is definitely chessed in abundance. But canceling Torah and tefila does not seem like the way to keep the world running according to chazal
Perhaps if we’d reinstate our minyanim and yeshivos there would be fewer deaths and more people recovering

If we reinstate Minyanim and yeshivas, we will deffinately see a rise in the spread and death rate in our community. Look at bnei brak, lakewood, Monsey, etc.
Shomrei hadas, a funeral home in Brooklyn had 7 times more levayos than usual this past week.

We must stay home and stop the spread. Not to mention the chilul Hashem it would cause if we violate the rules and by doing so spread the disease.

Staying home is not being passive. It is actively fighting the spread of the virus. At the same time, it is giving us the opportunity to bring the kedusha into our homes.

No where does it say in the Torah you have to learn in yeshiva or daven in shul to be yotzei that. Davening with minyan is dirabanan and pikuach nefesh is dioraysa.

I don’t know a single Rav or organization that says you should reopen. So it’s harder to remember to daven and concentrate at home? Too bad, lifum tzaara Agra.

As a Baltimorean, I can tell you that they shut down after there were cases on Montgomery county, silver spring, Harford county... These are not Baltimore per se, but it is here in Baltimore county/city. We are not immune to it!
But, they did take quick action before the numbers starting rising, BH!

Rav Chaim kanievsky said that if you daven with a minyan you have a din of a rodef.

Not a state, but there are very encouraging indicators coming out of British Columbia.

"``I’m trying not to over-call it but I do believe we’ve seen a flattening, a falling off of that curve,'' Dr. Henry told a news conference.

As a result of sweeping restrictions on movement, the closure of schools and many retailers, the cessation of almost all travel and the repeated urging of social distancing, British Columbia’s rate of increase in daily cases changed from 24 per cent from before the measures to an average daily increase of 12 per cent later this week."

Same with Richmond, however, there are for sure unconfirmed cases. Someone came back from NY and self quarantined from the minute they came back. It's unconfirmed if he has it or not.

Chicago doesn't stand a chance. There were weddings and vorts and shiurim and minyanim happening long after the CRC issued a decree to stop. Now all the cases are popping up from those exposures at an alarming rate. Finally all the different sects of rabbanim are on the same page but it is too late. The horse is out of the barn.
