Has anyone tried cooking a pot of chicken soup on a griddle? Any other ideas besides a crock pot?

You can buy a single electric burner for relatively cheap. I found for $15-20 on Amazon

I'm doing electric burners for a while now + toaster that fits 9x13. Working out very well.

I do all my cooking in a crockpot or on a griddle which doubles as a hot plate on yom tov.

I've done it this way for 17 years. Not only does it save the stress of having to deep clean the stove and oven, it just makes more sense. I've never had any trouble at all.

I don't bake milchigs on Pesach, so having just one toaster oven for fleishigs works fine. If I want something dairy, it can be cooked in a frying pan. I don't make matza pizza on Pesach, so it's no big deal.

If you think a Pesach toaster oven is too bulky to store for next year, remember that you can put all your small items inside of it, knives, serving spoons, etc. You can get a LOT of little things in there.
