just kidding but thats how I feel.
I have been in quarantine SINCE I WAS EXPOSED. I GOT THE CORONAVIRUS. MY WHOLE FAMILY GOT THE VIRUS. WE ARE NOW DONE WITH THE VIRUS AND ARE READY TO GET OUT OF JAIL.
WHEN ARE WE NOT CONTAGIOUS ANYMORE?
(oops I didnt mean to write in CAPS but I'm not changing it cuz I feel like yelling.)
I did ask a nurse and she said 14 days from when I started symptoms, but I have read reports about people testing positive weeks after they thought they were done, and I would be very nervous to expose anyone.
on the bright side, I dont have to worry about catching corona from going shopping!

my Hospital is telling it’s workers that if they are symptom free (especially fever) for 72 hours then they could come off quarantine at the 7 day mark. Obviously they have to be symptom free at that point. I wasn’t. It took me like 11 days to get to that point

Mazel Tov on your impending freedom!
We're looking forward to DS#2's release from solitary confinement in our guest room so he can go to the grocery store for us. Our family doctor said 3 days from when he feels better — for DS#2, that appears to be exactly 2 weeks from when he first showed symptoms.
I still haven't seen anything definitive about when someone completely stops being contagious.

Because otherwise they will have no staff!

True. But I don’t believe the epidemiologists would be telling us to return while we were still contagious.

Doctors are saying (my doctor told me as well as other doctors have said) 72 hours after your last symptom. That means 0 congestion, 0 cough, 0 diarrhea, 100% sense of smell and taste. You can let go of fever and still have the rest.
Edited to say I’m in the same place waiting to be cleared to go grocery shopping for pesach. It sucks but I’d rather not kill people by being contagious
