There are 2 strains. If you are immune to one, you are immune to the other!
For some people, like my husband, 2 of his siblings, my brother in law, and my brother, they started out with mild symptoms that went away after 2 or 3 days, and then came back worse with a fever, bad cough, sore throat, abd achy limbs. So it seemed like they all got it 2x, but it was more likely the same round

They do NOT know this to be the case. This is all guesswork. There are many leading specialists cautioning people that it may be possible that you dont develop immunity and can catch it again. They are not sure. They do not know yet. They need to do more research. Wait until theyve done enough research. Right now its ALL guesswork

But someone in the medical field did tell me that in the animal testing it is showing up as full immunity after the first round.

From:

The researchers then tried to reinfect two of them but failed, which suggests the animals were immune (bioRxiv, doi.org/ggn8r8). “That finding is very encouraging, as it suggests that it is possible to induce protective immunity against the virus,” says Alfredo Garzino-Demo at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean long-term immunity. There are other coronaviruses circulating among humans and although they induce immunity, this doesn’t last. “Some other viruses in the coronavirus family, such as those that cause common colds, tend to induce immunity that is relatively short-lived, at around three months,” says Peter Openshaw at Imperial College London.

Actually, it's being seen more and more that the virus passes thru the body in phases. Quite a few people are reporting mild to moderate symptoms initially, starting to feel better, and then suddenly experiencing more severe symptoms.
Additionally, in some countries they are starting to experiment with using plasma from recovered individuals to treat people who are still ill because they are finding that those who are recovered have antibodies that can fight the virus. How long those antibodies last in the body, I'm not sure if that's known at this point.

Dr. Fauci said in an interview that all indications are that once somebody has had it, they are immune.

Dr faucci has been very careful to always use the word "likely".
He is not basing this off research. Just what theyre thinking

I read a while ago that all the new cases in Wuhan were among people who had recently arrived. That seems to suggest the locals are immune at this point. I also read somewhere that they don't know how long the immunity lasts but likely at least 1 to 3 years

And that we'll be better equipped to nip it in the bud.
I think that people who have it should listen to the same doctors who are telling them to quarantine, and follow their guidelines for reentry into the world. Maybe wait an extra week to be safe. And keep davening.

If people who had it already are catching it again, then how can it ever end?

Unfortunately it seems the source for that was the official Chinese state newspaper, and they have kicked out Western journalists.

Like the flu, vaccines will help reduce the all-important R. If it's below 1, we no longer have a pandemic. And if other treatments are developed (antibodies from someone who has recovered, the antimalarial/zithromax combo that's being tested), then that will help, too.
