My understanding is that the virus isn't food born. You can probably wait several days to eat it. Anything that can be microwaved is totally safe but the latest theory is that food from a caterer, restaurant or deli is safe to eat. Did you read somewhere that it wasn't?

My own understanding is that if the virus can be on a door handle then it can be on the chocolates.

There was a study that showed there were still signs of the virus 17 days after, on a cruise ship that all patients had been removed.

It lives longest on Metal and plastic. Cardboard and twine less. Food no.
It depends on the material.

(While it lived for 17 days it could no longer infect at that time)

A local doctor advised that we heat all take out and wash hands well after handling packaging.
Raw produce should be washed well.

Not sure if the virus dies so quickly in the fridge.

I know someone who is sewing cloth face masks to donate to healthcare workers in hospitals. It is meant to go on top of the n95 mask to prolong its life.

That is so nice! Thanks for sharing.
I also know a business in KJ that has raised money for mask donations and a few in Monsey that are donating. THIS is what should dominate imamother now.

Gloves don't help and make it more likely for cross contamination to happen. Without gloves, everyone can wash their hands more often and that is much more effective.
