Can I make chicken and quinoa the same way I make chicken and rice
Just dump everything and bake in the ove?

I find that it has a bit of an off/ bitter taste. We love chicken+ rice or potatoes but always make quinoa separately after 2 failed attempts (the chicken got the uch flavor also)

Qunoa needs to be rinsed thoroughly before cooking. If not rinsed thoroughly it will have the bitter taste so if you are treating it like you would rice, it migt be the answer.
